Nicholas J. Nelson is an associate at Bancroft PLLC. Prior to joining Bancroft, Mr. Nelson was an associate in the national appellate practice of King & Spalding. He previously served as a law clerk to Judge Thomas M. Hardiman, of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the Judge Stephen J. Murphy, III, of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
Mr. Nelson’s practice focuses on appellate and high-stakes general litigation and spans a wide range of legal fields. Mr. Nelson graduated magna cum laude from the University of Notre Dame Law School, where he served as a Note Editor and on the Article Selection Committee of the Notre Dame Law Review, and received the 2008 A. Harold Weber Award for Writing Excellence. He received his baccalaureate degree cum laude from St. Olaf College. A native of Minnesota, Mr. Nelson is admitted to the bars of the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Minnesota.
