Stephen V. Potenza is counsel at Bancroft PLLC. His practice includes a wide variety of complex litigation in state and federal courts, including intellectual property, securities, antitrust, contractual disputes, professional malpractice, and Voting Rights Act litigation. He has represented clients from professional services, technology, and manufacturing industries in matters ranging from class action and shareholder litigation to patent licensing litigation and defense of antitrust price fixing charges.
Mr. Potenza served as a law clerk to Judge William G. Bassler of the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey and to Judge Reena Raggi of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. He also practiced at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP in New York.
Mr. Potenza is a member of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York and the American Bar Association. He is admitted to the bars of the State of New York and the District of Columbia; the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit; and the United States District Courts for the Southern District of New York and the Eastern District of New York.
Mr. Potenza received his bachelor’s degree summa cum laude from Union College in 1997, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He graduated cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center in 2002, where he was Editor-in-Chief of Law & Policy in International Business.
