Matthew D. Rowen is an associate at Bancroft PLLC. His practice focuses on appellate litigation and strategic counseling. Before joining Bancroft, Mr. Rowen served as a law clerk to the Honorable Paul J. Watford of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the Honorable David J. Barron of the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. Mr. Rowen also previously worked as an associate at Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP, where he represented clients in federal and state courts at both the trial and appellate levels.
Mr. Rowen is a magna cum laude graduate of Harvard Law School, where he served as an editor of the Harvard Journal on Legislation and worked on multiple briefs in the United States Supreme Court. He graduated magna cum laude from Columbia University with a degree in political science and history, and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
Mr. Rowen is a native of southern California, and is a member of the California bar.
