Michael D. Lieberman is an associate at Bancroft PLLC. His practice focuses on appellate litigation and strategic counseling. Mr. Lieberman previously served as a law clerk to Judge Jennifer Walker Elrod of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and to Judge Ellen Hollander of the United States District Court for the District of Maryland. During law school, Mr. Lieberman worked as a summer associate at Williams & Connolly LLP and as a summer law clerk at Greines, Martin, Stein & Richland LLP.
Mr. Lieberman is a magna cum laude graduate of Harvard Law School, where he was an oralist on the winning team in the Ames Moot Court Competition and the recipient of the Joseph H. Beale Prize. He also worked as a clinical student in the Harvard Law School Veterans Clinic.
Before law school, Mr. Lieberman worked in venue operations for Another Planet Entertainment, a concert promoter in the San Francisco Bay Area. He earned dual degrees with highest honors in Business Administration and Sociology from the University of California at Berkeley.
