Nicholas T. Matich is an associate at Bancroft PLLC, focusing on appellate litigation and strategic counseling. Mr. Matich previously practiced with the firm Williams & Connolly LLP in Washington, D.C. where he briefed matters before state and federal trial courts and the U.S. Supreme Court on issues relating to securities law, business torts, intellectual property, civil procedure, and litigation finance. Mr. Matich is a seasoned litigator with deposition and oral argument experience.
Mr. Matich served as a law clerk for the Honorable Richard C. Wesley of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
Mr. Matich is a graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law, where he was a Senior Editor on the Virginia Law Review. Mr. Matich’s scholarly writings have appeared in the Virginia Law Review, the Arizona Law Review, and the Federal Circuit Bar Journal.
Mr. Matich graduated summa cum laude from the University of Notre Dame on a Naval ROTC scholarship, and earned a commission as an officer in the United States Navy. Mr. Matich served as a Surface Warfare Officer aboard the USS Mahan (DDG 72) and USS Arleigh Burke (DDG 51) and made overseas deployments to various theaters of operation, including the Horn of Africa.
Mr. Matich was raised in Alexandria, Virginia and currently resides in Arlington, Virginia with his wife and their three children.
